Welcome to the East Yorkshire Regiment database. While there are many web sites providing a history of the regiment; this site is dedicated to the memory of the men who served, many of who paid the ultimate price by giving up their lives. You can help us to honour their service to our country by sharing your family memories, photographs and documents. We don't want your original document, they are your personal and family heritage. All we ask is that you share a copy of your photographs and documents with us so that we can display them on this site and share them with others.
If you do have original documents that you wish to dispose of, please let us offer our support and advice. Depositing trophies, medals, documents and photographs with military, and civilian, archives is not always as straightforward as it may seem. We have heard many horror stories over the years.
It is important to understand that this will forever remain a 'work in progress' and that only a fraction of our resources are posted here. If you do not find what you are looking for please visit our contacts page and we may be able to offer you much more help than is available on this site.
We are reveiving so many requests for help (we are currently working 2009 emails) that we feel it only fair to point out there there is a long waiting time for this service. If you are looking for a quick answer we can happily recommend a visit to:
The Great War Forum and/or The Long, Long Trail
